After analysing the film poster i then went on to analysing the trailer to see if my suspicions towards the narrative and findings as to the aesthetics of what the poster has given to me. The production company Paramount is the first thing you see in this trailer . By watching the trailer i can investigate more into my case studies. In the official trailer a short film is made of a screening in Hollywood this is shown in 2009 giving a direct date as to when the the screening was allowing the audience to know that the film has been released and the queues. Footage of the public entering the screening and sitting down to watch the film. The camera cuts to the back of the cinema to show the audiences reactions to the film by doing this a great audience is lead to watch film as they see other peoples reactions to the film - two step flow. Night vision footage is used which is what is used in film to capture the footage by filming the audience in night vision it add's to the tension building in the trailer empathising its narrative. The trailer exaggerates the best parts in the showing an audiences reaction to parts of the film. No stars are shown on the trailer or anchorage this just leaves the narrative structure and quotes from reviews to appeal to an audience. This trailer highlights the conventions of the horror genre being released in October in the US add's to the film being realised all lie in the horror genre due to Halloween being in this month adding to the popularity of when audience who will see this film the tag line 'experience it for yourself' draws an audience in to put themselves to what they have seen via the audiences footage. No age rating is given to the audience allowing people to research and find out for themselves.
